We did a real easy 2.5-mile backpack into a lake in the Island Lake area of the Beartooths. We were at about 9.500 ft., had a lake to ourselves and areas of fresh snow on the trail when we hiked out the next day.

Mom and Colter hit the trail.

Uncle Stoner thinks about turning back.

Playing in the lake.

Camp.

Hurray for the Beartooths.

What's bedtime mean? Colter actually slept like a rock from 9-6:30 a.m. in hist first
night in his brand new North Face sleeping bag.

A look down to camp after the dogs and Dad did a morning scramble to
the top of the ridge east of camp.

Ridge Dogs.

Packing up.
