Four Days of Face Shots, February 23-26 2007

Skiid Discovery Basin Feb. 23-24, Big Sky Feb. 25-26. Disco received 24 inches in 24 hours on Friday. Our morning tracks were covered after lunch. Saturday was bluebird, then started dumping again at Big Sky Sunday and Monday. Runs off the tram were boot deep and then it snowed another 8 inches while we skiid. Fresh lines everywhere. Big Sky has made an impressive comeback. They claim that Feb. snowfall was 160% of normal for the last 30 years. Unfortunately, the camera did not work above about 9,000 ft. so no pics from the top of Lone Peak (11,166 ft.)

Discovery's Limelight lift on the backside is almost all double blacks facing north and northwest. The slopes we measured range from 38-42 degrees.
